A solid, uncluttered plate suits a stairwell door well. This sign carries raised STAIRS lettering on a clean rectangle, so the message reads quickly by sight and by touch while the design stays out of the way of the architecture around it.

It works as well in a concrete stairwell as in a polished lobby.
